The Forgotten Realm

The Forgotten Realm is an online isometric action RPG for Windows, Linux and Android phones and tablets. Players earn experience, gold, and gear by fighting monsters and completing quests, and gather wood and other materials along the way. Guilds claim outposts and invest gold, taxes, and materials to develop them, from a wooden palisade to stone walls. Changes to the game are put to a player vote.

A town you share

Everyone meets in Oakhaven. Trade with other players, chat, and form a party of up to four.

Dungeons for your party

Below the Hollow, each party gets its own dungeon. Short on friends? Hire henchmen to fight beside you.

Knight, Archer, Wizard

Tank, shoot, or cast. Unlock abilities as you level, and hunt the rare named enemies that roam the wilds.

A story waiting to be found

Oakhaven's quests lead somewhere its villagers would rather forget. Follow them and see where they go.

Guilds and outposts

Found a guild, design its emblem, and claim an outpost to fly your banner over. Coming soon: two factions, the Keepers and the Embers. Guilds will join one, and the factions will contest the outposts.

Made for families

No harsh death penalties, no long grinds, no griefing. Fall in battle and you wake up safe in town.

Outpost taxes

A guild can claim an outpost for 10,000 gold. Guilds may tax an outpost's shops at 0 to 10%; the rate is their decision. Oakhaven, where everyone starts, is never claimed or taxed. The tax goes to the guild's treasury and pays for local changes to the outpost.

Players decide

Big changes go to a vote. Every account at least a week old gets a say, and an update only goes in if 75% vote yes.

KS Game Studio

We're a small independent studio. The Forgotten Realm is our first game, and it's being played and shaped by family first. A wider release is on the way.
